1963
The history of VBC dates back to 1663 when Ajmo Barbero sold wool to the Duke of Savoia, highlighting the family's early expertise in dyeing. In the mid-19th century, Giuseppe Barberis Canonico expanded the business through automation and later centralized operations in Pratrivero. By 1910, the company had a full-cycle factory, leading to significant growth and international exports. Despite challenges like the global economic crisis and WWII, Vitale Barberis Canonico® was established in 1936, eventually achieving remarkable sales and a strong international reputation during Italy’s economic boom.
